About the area:
The town of Trumbull, located in southwestern Connecticut, is a suburban community in pleasantly hilly surroundings. The area contains 65 identifiable minerals, making it one of the richest in that respect in the state. Tashua Hill, which was one of the four geodetic stations in the nation used to determine the earth's shape, is the first land sighted from this part of Long Island Sound. Trumbull is about an hour away from Manhattan and in the heart of southern Connecticut's Fortune 500 corporate headquarters.
