Carlson Wagonlit Travel announces launch of first online booking tool in China

Carlson Wagonlit Travel announced on September 5 its launch of an online booking service, the first service of its kind in China.
Although China is one of the fastest growing economies and has seen a tremendous increase in business travel over the past two decades, no online booking tools currently exist for Chinese professionals.
CWT Online will give travelers the ability to book air travel, as well as research fare comparisons and promotions. This will allow travelers to plan and coordinate their air travel with desired corporate accommodations, price restrictions and other business travel factors.
China's business travel market is expected to continue its steady pattern of growth. Already, Beijing Capital International is the world's second busiest airport.
"Clients can reduce their average ticket price, increase policy compliance, and reduce transaction costs and the internal cost of processing travel. The simplicity of CWT Online really encourages travelers to adopt self-booking," Albert Zhong, general manager of CWT China said in a statement.
CWT China is already incorporating the online booking tool into its current clients' business travel accounts, and plans to continue moving forward with technological advancements.
