ARLINGTON, Va., August 25, 2006-BridgeStreet Worldwide, a leading international provider of corporate housing, today announced that, on the one-year anniversary of the natural disaster that struck New Orleans, the company is planning to flood that city again-not with water, but with a major donation of bedding and housewares. The donation is part of a week-long event to call attention to the major rebuilding efforts needed to restore one of the nation's most beloved cities.

Rebuilding Together New OrleansOrganized by Rebuilding Together, BridgeStreet Worldwide and 21 other corporate partners, including Countrywide, Fannie Mae Corporation and the Home Depot - the event marks the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the organization's progress to date in reaching their goal of restoring 1,000 homes in New Orleans. Employees at BridgeStreet offices in Falls Church, Va. and Chicago, Ill. will pack 35-foot-long trucks with hundreds of comforters, blankets, pillows, sheets, and mattress pads, as well as dishes, silverware, microwave ovens and VCRs, all bound for New Orleans. The trucks are scheduled to arrive on Thursday, August 24, at one of several residences currently undergoing repair and renovation by organization volunteers.

"This is a company-wide event for us, with all 15 of our offices participating," said Lee Curtis, BridgeStreet president.
