|ARLINGTON, Va., December 9, 2003 — BridgeStreet Corporate Housing Worldwide, a leading international provider of corporate housing to business travelers, today announced the signing of six new partners to the company’s Licensed Global Partners program. The new partners add a total of 2,200 units, representing eight markets, to BridgeStreet’s global network, bringing the company’s portfolio of corporate apartments to 6,800 units.
“With the signing of these six new partners, we have extended our reach into several new markets and solidified our presence in others,” said Lee Curtis, president of BridgeStreet Corporate Housing Worldwide. “We now have 14 partners, representing 16 different markets. Oftentimes, the most difficult part of the process is selecting the best partner in markets where we have had multiple applications. Although we have declined companies as partners because they may not have met our quality standards, we also have had markets where there has been more than one exceptional provider, and the decision has been arduous. The quality of inventory offered by our newest partners is first-rate and definitely on a par with our existing affiliates.”
BridgeStreet’s new partners and their locations are: U.S. Suites, Boise, Idaho, and Portland, Ore.; V.I.P. Corporate Housing, St. Louis, Mo.; Ashbourne Corporate Housing, Annapolis, Md.; Korman Communities, Philadelphia, Pa., Harrisburg, Pa., and Wilmington, Del.; Apartment Express, Tampa, Fla.; and Apartment and Relocation Center, San Antonio, Texas.
Barbara Eggert, president of Temporary Housing Unlimited, a BridgeStreet partner since July 2003, commented, “By joining an international network like BridgeStreet, we have increased exponentially our universe of potential guests. Marketing is critical in the increasingly competitive corporate apartment rental market, and BridgeStreet’s regional, national and international marketing programs, including BridgeStreet Concierge, give us a significant leg up on the competition.”
“We continue to tap the community of high-quality, independent, regional corporate housing providers for potential new partners,” said Lorna Bosco, director of BridgeStreet’s Licensed Global Partner Program. “We currently are evaluating another nine Licensed Global Partner candidates and expect to sign partnerships in an additional 10 markets by year end.”
