Outdoor Attractions

Navy Pier – This iconic city landmark is open to the public and is one of the most visited attractions in the city. Originally designed for shipping and recreational purposes, the pier has become one of the top spots for entertainment and shopping. Dine in style at one of their two dozen or so restaurants or take a romantic dinner-for-two cruise on one of the ships in operation at the pier. Take a stroll on the pier after enjoying your meal and head over to the Centennial Wheel for miraculous views of the city. There’s always something to see or do at the Navy Pier!

Millennium Park – Not your average town square, Millennium Park features architecture, truly unique landscape design and art. There are plenty of free cultural programs like concerts, exhibitions, tours and family activities on a regular basis. Check their calendar for more information.

If you have time, walk the Magnificent Mile, picnic in Grant Park and take a picture next to Cloud Gate.

Indoor Fun

Shedd Aquarium – John G. Shedds’ gift to Chicago, this marble aquarium has all the charm of 20th century architecture with 21st century animal care and attractions. Shedd Aquarium is unique in its architecture thanks to a forward-thinking architect who noted the lack of workspace in aquariums of the day. They added room for reserved areas, feed rooms, and an early animal hospital in addition to extra space for maneuverability. Come visit the salt water exhibitions, the native fish exhibitions and more.

Art Institute of Chicago – Featuring collections of the highest quality from across the globe, the Art Institute of Chicago is a short walk from serviced apartments in Chicago and is the perfect evening activity. Stop by to see over 300,000 collections of art and if you’re there on a Thursday, it’s free admission after 5 p.m.

Willis Tower – Formerly known as the Sear Tower is a 110-foot building in the heart of downtown Chicago. One of the tallest buildings in the world and the tallest building in America, you can most likely see it from your serviced apartment. The last beam put in place was commemorated with 12,000 signatures of construction works, Sears employees and Chicagoans. Visit the Ledge or the Skydeck for some spectacular views of the city.

The fun doesn’t stop there, as there are plenty more museums, a zoo, a planetarium and other attractions right outside your serviced apartment in Chicago.
