This cute-as-cherry-pie pad is perfect for exploring the best of west London. Located in the heart of Notting Hill, this two bedroom, one bathroom beauty is a stone's throw from Portobello Road and a very short walk to the tube. Head off into the day and explore the antiques markets, the cutting edge Bayswater Road Artists for a lively open-air art show, or take a ramble in nearby Hyde Park. Once you're all tuckered out, return to Chepstow Villas and make the most of the charming garden patio with a bottle of wine and some good company.
Having lived in this home for 40s years, your fiery host has seen Notting Hill flourish into one of London's most affluent areas. When she's not travelling the world, she loves browsing the trinkets at the world famous market down the road, or sampling the many international cuisines on offer in the local area.
Rustle up a treat in the sunny kitchen and serve it on a sugar-sweet pastel coloured plate, before settling round the quaint dining table. The large open plan living space pops with flourishes of deep cosy red on the chaises longues and floors. Curl up on the sofa with a good book, or open the double doors onto the garden patio and listen to London go by. When night falls, choose between the simple twin room, or a super king size bed in the master. Both are comfortable and fresh, the beds made up in our crisp White Company linen.
After exploring the world famous Portobello Road market, where antiques and curiosities abound, sample the surrounding upscale bars and gastro-pubs which lend the area its air of affluence. Or, leave the period perfection of Notting Hill and get to the bright lights of Oxford Circus in just 15 minutes via the tube from nearby Notting Hill Gate underground station.
