From the Pimlico cafes around the corner, to the pistachio wallpaper in the entrance hallway, Moreton Street makes a traditional first impression. An antique clock ticks in the sitting room, straight ahead, where a chequered sofa faces a dining table for four. Period sash windows provide a view of the row of townhouses opposite, while the white breakfast bar and purple barstools give a 21st-century twist to the kitchen, on the right.
Turn back into the hallway and past the front door to find the bedroom. It's both quiet and quaint, with framed illustrations and a view over neighbouring roof gardens. A purple armchair and striped headboard stand out, but the most contemporary sight is the bathroom (downstairs), with printed blinds and a wall of powder-blue metro tiles.
