As you'd expect from its name, Oval Road III is all swoops and curves. The open-plan sitting room's swathed in the deepest scarlet and topped with notes of tangerine. A lamp bows sweetly in the corner, while the furniture has is invitingly plump. Venture out, and you'll find the inner and outer circles of Regent's Park right at the end of the road, alongside one of London's loveliest crescents.
Your hosts are an energetic family of four who split their time between north London and their country house in the New Forest. Keen travellers, they've just returned from a trip to Sri Lanka, but they're always glad to be home.
Everything about this home is bold - the open-plan living space with its view of Camden Roundhouse and the city skyline, the abstract artworks in the bedrooms and the oversized furniture. The dining area's just a little retro, with framed Tintin prints and space for six upon scooped orange seats. And while the two generous double bedrooms are similarly contemporary, nicest of all is the wraparound balcony, accessible from each and every room.
