Near the vintage shops of Shoreditch and Brick Lane, St Matthew's Row is a stylish spot, with plenty of retro touches. Entering on the ground floor, you'll find the master bedroom straight ahead. A modern triptych hangs boldly on one wall, and there's a mid-century look to both the aluminium photograph enlarger and orange standard lamp. The white walls and wooden window shutters are contemporary, just like the grey sofas either side of the widescreen TV.
Head down to the lower ground floor and you'll see the bathroom straight ahead. There's a dining table for four in the kitchen, to the left, and a retro Smeg fridge that stands out from the cream cabinets and metro-tiled splashback. For the arty sitting room, turn right. A pink wing armchair and a glass-topped table catch the eye on one side, but perhaps the most intriguing sight is the teal birdcage that's been repurposed into a hanging rail.
