I spy with my little eye… a home that'll get even the most hardened of hearts pounding. For Walton Street II is as cool as they come. Plain walls and high ceilings provide the most delicate of backdrops for the chocolate floorboards, original windows and hip modern furniture. There's no clutter, no fuss just space and style. And beyond your front door lies Knightsbridge, just the place for aspiring Bond heroes to bag a bespoke suit and hone their killer abs in Hyde Park, before heading up to the top floor of Harvey Nichols for a martini.
Your host is a young bachelor who works in finance, dividing his time between London and South Africa. When he's not shooting his cuffs, he's a bit of a daredevil. Show him the ocean and he'll be kitesurfing before you've even spread out your towel.
Walton Street II is spread across two floors. Downstairs, the bright white kitchen contains gadgets that would please even Q, and the under-floor heating will keep the cook's feet toasty.
Next door, the glass dining table seats six beneath a glittering chandelier. And when dinner's done, you've a choice of two couches on which to flop in front of a large flat screen TV.
The master bedroom has a super-king sized bed framed in polished wood, and next door you'll find the snazziest of ensuites, with a powerful walk-in shower, a bath and his and hers sinks. There's a second double, with a king-sized bed, and a separate shower room, with a mocha tiled walk-in shower.
Knightsbridge is the playground of London's most affluent residents. Harrods is the place to go for everything from a Hermes scarf to a wet shave, and lovers of the catwalk must stop in on Harvey Nichols. Your host recommends dinner at Scalini's or Jak's, and then it's on to the casinos of the West End. Walk across the park, hop in a cab, or onto the tube- the journey from Knightsbridge to Green Park takes four minutes.
