7west is rooted in the idea that thoughtful design facilitates a happier society. That’s why they have sweated every detail to ensure their building overlooking the Mississippi River will quickly become not only the Twin Cities’ premiere LEED-certified rental apartment complex but also a community of friends. While most apartment buildings are an assembly of generic boxes, Miller and Gunsbury commissioned Twin Cities’ artists Marcus Young and Brad Kaspari to integrate art into residents’ daily lives. Their bronze bee sculptures are scattered throughout 7west and are a nod to both the University of Minnesota’s world-class research and the fact that bees live in interconnected communities. And that’s just the start. Sunny gathering spaces, private study nooks, yoga and fitness studios, and common areas with billiards, fire pits, and entertainment centers recognize that many of our residents need a respite from the stress of daily life. Innovative Chinese Feng shui design creates a positive atmosphere.
